Naretha Hopson

Naretha Hopson is a dynamic leader, speaker, and educator dedicated to shaping the next generation of polished professionals. As the Founder and Executive Director of Ever-Appropriate Etiquette Institute (EAEI), she empowers individuals, including students, interns, and professionals, with essential skills in business presence, dining confidence, and professional communication. Since launching EAEI in 2011, Naretha has transformed thousands of lives with her engaging and contemporary approach to leadership and character development.

Her expertise has been sought by Fortune 500 companies, universities, and nonprofits, with a client roster that includes Wells Fargo, Marriott International, St. Louis University, Urban League St. Louis, Girls Inc., and The National Urban League’s Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP), among many others. Through hands-on workshops, corporate training, and educational initiatives, Naretha prepares individuals for academic, professional, and personal success.

A trailblazer in business, diversity, and sales, Naretha’s career spans leadership roles across industries. She served as Director of Diversity Outreach and Assistant Editor for United Media International, working with global publications such as The Korean American Journal and Beauty Times Magazine. She also achieved early success in real estate and luxury automotive sales, generating over $13 million in combined sales, a testament to her ability to thrive in competitive industries and break barriers for women and emerging professionals.

Naretha is a committed civic leader and advocate for professional development. She is a 2010 graduate of Focus St. Louis’ Leadership St. Louis program, one of the nation’s most esteemed leadership fellowships. She has been honored with the Emerson Young Leader’s Award, the Ferguson-Florissant School District’s Drum Major for Service Award, and special recognition from the White House under President Barack Obama for her contributions to education and community engagement.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Naretha serves on executive boards and advisory committees for organizations such as the United Way, National Coalition of 100 Black Women, and Urban League Young Professionals St. Louis. She has also been recognized in Who’s Who of Black St. Louis and inducted into the Regional Business Council’s Young Professional Network Leadership 100 cohort.
